Odebrecht’s History in the Country:

In 1992, Construtora Norberto Odebrecht began operating in Uruguay. A sanitation project in Montevideo was its first venture in the country, completed in 1996. It consisted of the construction of a sewage collector along the street Avenida Costanera del Monte that extended 5 kilometers.

The Company also completed the Maldonado Waters project, which doubled the production capacity of the Laguna del Sauce potable water plant. The contract, firmed with Administración de las Obras Sanitárias del Estado (OSE), also included other projects such as the expansion of the system’s potable water supply and reserve capacity.

Construtora Norberto Odebrecht was also responsible for constructing the Hotel Conrad Resort & Casino in Punta del Este. Classified as a five-star resort, the establishment has 301 apartments, a convention and exposition center, restaurants, a casino and related services.

The outdoor area extends 43,000 square meters and the constructed area, 64,000 square meters. The site has 14 floors and a covered parking lot that holds approximately 300 vehicles.
