Odebrecht’s History in the Country:

The company’s operations in the country began in 1980. One of the projects undertaken in the region is the Iguazu Dam on the Iguazu River. Contracted by the National Electricity Administration (ANDE), the dam has a total length of 240 meters.

Also responsible for the Acaray Hydroelectric Power Plant, Construtora Norberto Odebrecht supplied and assembled the equipment for the plant, with 108 MW of installed power.

The Acepar Steel Mill in Villa Hayes was another initiative. It involved a feasibility study, detailing project, supply services, civil construction and the assembly of the steel mill. The development is powered by charcoal and has a production capacity for 150,000 tons of steel per year.
