Odebrecht’s History in the Country:

A consortium uniting Triangle Drilling Ltda. (an Odebrecht Organization) and the French company Foramer S.A. resulted in the creation of Forabrecht S.A. in 1982.

The companies brought Brazil a new piece of equipment - the Asterie semisubmersible rig. The machine operates in sites where it was not possible to fasten the equipment to bottom of the ocean.

Contracted by Elf Aquitaine through the Asterie Project, Forabrecht drilled seven oil wells in the country during 200 days.
