Odebrecht’s History in the Country:

In China, Construtora Norberto Odebrecht provided technical assistance for the Três Gargantas Hydroelectric Power Plant. The studies for the plant, which had the world's highest installed capacity at the time, took place in the 1990s.

In 2009, the Company set up the Odebrecht Logística e Exportação S.A. (OLEX) office in Shanghai, China. From this site, the company cares for the following:

• Identification of potential material and equipment suppliers;
• Intermediation of purchases for other Odebrecht Engenharia e Construção businesses;
• Monitoring and inspection of the items supplied to the Organization’s companies.
