Areas of OperationSupply

The focus of the Odebrecht Supply area is to equip its developments located throughout the entire world with competitive quality, prices and deadlines. That is why it uses management systems developed internally capable of guaranteeing improved conditions and deadlines that are compatible with raw material acquisition.

Just like the construction company's other areas, the Supply teams offer technical support and solutions in an individualized fashion for each Client. All stages of the process are monitored, from the acquisition to delivery of the merchandise to the construction sites, through a complete procurement, logistics and export structure.

Many projects are developed under the EPC mode, which requires a synergy between the areas of Engineering, Procurement and Construction. With this type of contract, Odebrecht assumes all phases of the development: from the elaboration of the ground plan to the completion of the work itself, including the supply of the necessary materials.

The company maintains a qualified supplier registration system and has obtained the ISO 9001, in addition to others required for international trade.

Odebrecht Logistics and Export (OLEx)

The construction projects abroad receive the support of Odebrecht Logistics and Export (OLEx). This work was initially performed by areas of the construction company itself. In 1995, the company unified its operations and created the International Support Base (Base de Apoio Internacional or BAI), improved a decade later with the creation of OLEx.

The structure operates as an extension of each Odebrecht international contract, seeking the best commercial conditions to meet demand. The main countries to which OLEx exports include Angola, Argentina and Venezuela. In 2009, the company opened the OLEx S.A. Commercial Representation Office in Shanghai, China.
