Together with Construction, the Engineering area can be considered Odebrecht’s main vocation. So much so that the company is the largest in Latin America to provide services in these two fields.

With teams distributed throughout the countries of the three Americas, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe and the Middle East, the construction company completes projects in a range of different segments, including:

• Energy: thermal electric power plants, hydroelectric power plants and nuclear power plants;
• Infrastructure: dams, subways, highways, railroads, ports, airports, bridges, sanitation and irrigation;
• Industrial Plants: steel mills, petrochemical centers, mining companies, refineries and industrial plants;
• Real Estate: tourism, commercial and residential developments.

Since the 1990s, Construtora Norberto Odebrecht has completed many of these projects under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode. Working together, the three areas coordinate all stages of a development: from basic engineering to procurement (specification, acquisition and supply of material and equipment) to the construction phase and start of operation.
The company also works with an EPC software developed internally to guarantee effective and detailed control of the processes involved in the development of its projects.
